Saint Paul’s!
For 3 weeks now we’ve been talking about taking care of this family and this house. On this 4th week, everyone will get a card. On this card you’ll see a few different boxes. Perhaps the Lord will lead you to check one of those boxes. The boxes are asking how much you can commit to give to the church and to each other.
But, please, realize something: you are the point of all this. You are what’s important. You are what’s valued. You are who I pray for, think about, wake up early for, go to bed late for. It’s for you that this church is even here!
Do you want to know what I think? I think God loves Saint Paul’s. I think God rises early for Saint Paul’s and goes to bed late for it. I think God would give everything to have Saint Paul’s. I think God would give his own Son. I think God is doing a great work here.
And what is that work? That we all are learning to give our lives for each other, as God gave his Son. And if we give money, sure, that’s something. But, let’s not stop there. Let’s not just give money. Let’s give everything. Every single thing. So that we can find each other and the Lord, and not get lost in this world.
How about that?
Can’t wait to see you! A friend of mine, Leslie Stewart, will be here. And, like any family, we’ll have a giant meal together!
